The GraDAL system continues to support the elderly in Grădinari commune

The GraDAL system, implemented within the project, continues to play an essential role in supporting the elderly in the community. Launched on June 15, 2022, GraDAL (Active and Direct Assistance System for the Elderly) remains an important support point for the 30 members of the target group in Grădinari.

Each of these seniors still benefits from the mobile phones they received as part of the project, along with the medical kits and brochures with useful information that were initially distributed to them. Through these telephones, elderly people have the opportunity to get in direct contact with the social manager at Grădinari Town Hall whenever they need support or advice.

“It is a system that has become essential for our seniors. The telephone is not only a means of communication, but also a direct line through which I can request help or quick consultations from the social workers employed in the project”, declared the mayor of the Municipality of Grădinari.

The GraDAL system was designed to provide daily support and quick interventions when elderly people encounter difficulties. As well as direct contact with social workers, they also have access to essential health and safety information, all provided through medical kits and leaflets distributed.

With this active and functional system, the community of Grădinari demonstrates that technology and social support can be effectively combined to improve the quality of life of its most vulnerable members. The GraDAL system will continue to directly support and contribute to the well-being of the elderly for many years to come.
